I just started taking adderal (for adult add) and I think it is helping my
depression! Is anyone else here taking adderal xt (I think it's xt)? What dose are you taking? I'm taking 10mg and I think it's a low dose?
Thanks!

I am taking adderall short acting. What you have is adderall xr. Yes it does help and can be mood lifting. Do a search here are adderall, I would especially do a search here on adderall and food. It has discussed at length here. There are some very good tips on how to get the best out of your medication.
I have been on add medication for over 3 years now so my tolerance is much higher than yours. When I took adderall xr, I had to take 2 20 mg capsules. I will mention that it should be taken on an empty stomach. Food delays the onset and dimishes the impact of adderall. Hope this helps

Yes, I take it to augment the antidepressants I take. In addition, it makes me feel calm and more focused.

I agree w/ Blondegirl--empty stomach is best for xr or regular. Also some have naturally lower pH's (ie more acidic) and benefit from taking Adderall with calcium carbonate. Adderall IR and XR help me substantially with hyperactivity, moodiness, focus, organization, and anxiety.
