manerix and testosterone feeling nausea

Posted by stann on February 20, 2004, at 22:17:00

I have been on manerix for about a month and a half. It is not working for my anxiety/ depression.I increased the manerix to 600mg.About the second week of the increase I started getting very bad nausea. I tried to ride out the increase hoping the nausea would go away, it did not. I have decreased the manerix to a lower does than I was on before the nausea, but still have very bad nausea. And, I also have been taking testosterone "Andriol" because my testosterone level is very low. I have been taking it for about three month with no side affects but I have found it has change my mood some. What could be causing the nausea. I do not think it is the andriol because it would of happend at the beginning of the treatment. Could the testosterone enhance the effects of the manerix? perhapes I am getting to much serotonin.

Your feed back would be appreciated...

Thanks....Stann

Sometimes taking some Ginger with each dose helps with the nausea.

Thanks for the advice. I bought ginger candy today.I was hoping to figure out what drug brought on this intense nausea. I have been on both meds for a fair bit of time.

Most likely the Manerix. I think every serotonergic drug I've ever taken has given me awful nausea. Well... except for Remeron. Remeron avoids nausea and even increases appetite by blocking 5ht3 receptors. Unfortunately, it's way too sedating for me.

I did not have the nausea and constipation until I was on 600mg of manerix for about two weeks.I decreasd the dose to 375mg about a week ago and feel a slight improvment at times.I also decreased the andriol so I am not sure what decrease is helping. Because of all this my anxiety/depression is really bad.My thought are out of control.
Remeron was way over sedating for me ass well.
