Anyone out there taking SSRI and Topamax? Tell me, tell me. Also tell the mg. you're taking and why you're taking SSRI with Topamax.
I'm currently on Lexapro. Thanks...

I just added Topamax to my cocktail a week ago. I am currently taking imipramine, Zoloft (SSRI), Lamictal, amantadine, and Abilify along with the Topamax. I started with 25mg. I'll probably wait a few more days before moving up to 50mg. From what I understand, it is much better to avoid the appearance of the cognitive side effects that Topamax can produce by titrating very slowly rather than to titrate quickly and wait for them to disappear.
I have bipolar depression.

Even titrating slowly they can still appear but not last too longduring the day. I'd suggest aweek between each 25mg jump. That's what I'm doing. I just jumped to 100mg today, Ok, just a bit moretired today. Still get the tingly fingers everymorning for about half hour or so.

I've heard Zoloft to cause less sexual sides then Paxil and some of the other SSRI's. How has it affected you. I've had these sample packs for two weeks and my only hesitation to start it (for anxiety, social phobia) is the sexual sides fear. Any input on Zoloft would be appreciated.

Ironically, my only complaint about Zoloft, aside from it not working, is that it has completely obliterated my libido. Even Paxil left me something to work with. Zoloft did not enhance my Valentine's Day festivities. Is Topamax best taken once at night? I'm going to go up to 50mg tonight.
