I'm not sure what to tell you. Maybe someone else has good advise. I know that if you can hang in there for another week or 2, your depression may lift. But I know it's tough to wait it out and even if you do wait it out, there is no guarantee that Paxil is the best drug for you.
Have you already tried other antidepressants? I know that Lexapro is supposed to kick in quicker than Paxil. Also, Effexor is a good drug.

go back to your doctor. do they know you are having this much trouble? i'd be interested to see what they say.
my personal advice, after experiencing effexor and it's withdrawal, is that these are very serious and dangerous drugs. don't take them if you can find any other way. also i've taken serzone, wellbutrin, and prozac without any problem - although i know some people have withdrawals and other problems with these as well.
are you in therapy, or just getting meds? meds alone are like trying to build a house with a screwdriver...

I just left a message for you on your other thread. It takes two weeks to start to kick in. Hang in there. Per other advice, if you get to the end of week three and there's still no relief (or you feel suicidal, now) call your pdoc and force the issue. Those here posting have managed to survive, you can too!
This is the end of the thread.
