I started taking Lexapro but have not noticed any significant results. I have reached the conclusion that my I am not really depressed, but merely a person who requires a lot of sleep. Maybe exercise and not drinking alcohol would be more to the point. Plus, since I do drink alcohol and I have read that Lexapro and alcohol counteract one another, it may not be safe to be taking Lexapro. I have heard that one needs to stop it gradually. How gradually?

Hi,
You should ask your dr. Some say taper slower, some faster than others. Usually depends how long you've been taking it.
