Can anyone who's had success with using amisulpride to treat social phobia tell me how long it took to work? One previous poster said it should begin to work almost immediately, but another said it takes about the same length of time as most antidepressants - four to six weeks. I've been taking 50mg/d for slightly over a week, with no effect and I'm wondering whether to increase the dose or wait longer to see if this dose takes effect.

In general it kicks in quicker than ssri's. but give it upto 4 weeks at least. Its one of the best meds I tried for chronic dep and inattentive add. I noticed effect after about 10 days on 50 then increased to 75. Rgeret that I quit, buit due to lost libido and caloricravings...other than that, GREAT.
