After taking Prozac successfully for about 3 years, it started not working. I was then changed to Effexor SR a couple of years ago and did okay until it started to not work. After a caffeine overdose, I crashed hard at a hospital the day after Thansgiving. The hospital Psych. took me completely off of Effexor (300 mg), put me on 300 mg of Wellbutrin XL and Lamectil. Felt fine until I checked out into the real world a week later. The Wellbutrin caused me to have panic attacks and the Lamicitil blurred my vision horribly. Now I am back on 300 mg Effexor and 30 mg Adderall for ADD. Still having big drops in mood, I have to pop a Xanax at least once a day to calm down. Now, having said all that, has anyone had similar experiences with Prozac and Effexor SR, and what is the next step? I haven't been down this low in a LONG time and it frightens me to crash so fast and not be able to bounce right back on something new. I see my doctor in a week and I just would like to hear other experiences. Thanks!
