Whatsup dragonfly,
I tried to get this drug before.. its a dopamine reuptake inhibitor that was available in north america but taken off the market because it gave people very intense organisms... due to FDA pressure, its off the market in europe as well, the only place i've seen it available is latin america but i believe it can be ordered over the internet... but of course, one would have to be suspicious of quality... hope this helps

I'm assuming bipolarspectrum meant to say "very intense orgasms"! One could hardly oppose such a side effect...does anyone prefer a "weak and wimpy orgasm"? Just food for thought there, and perhaps a little humor. In fact, one alleged problem with amineptine was "spontaneous orgasm", which (intense or wimpy) could be a problem in the middle of a job interview, for example. This was supposedly a rare occurrence, however, and the main reason for removing amineptine from most marketrs was its association, again rarely ocurring, with a serious blood disorder (I don't remember the name). Unfortunately, we potential benefactors were denied the chance to make our own risk assessments, and many believed that the risk/benefit ratio was heavily in favor of approval. Amineptine was possibly the best purely dopaminergic drug to hit the market. I tried to locate and procure it myself, but finally gave up. Now I'm on a trial with Parnate, undoubtedly more "dangerous" than amineptine, but still legal. After 3weeks, and currently being held to a low 30mg/day dose by my provider, I'm getting nothing but afternoon lethargy, insomnia, and a worsening of amotivation and anhedonia. If I can get approval I do plan to push this trial to higher doses of 60+mg/day, as many people don't benefit till they get to that level. If no luck with Parnate, my "Plan B" is selegiline and PEA. I would try Amineptine for sure if it were available (marketed as Survector). Regards from sailor.

I think the main reason why amineptine was driven off the market was its potential for recreational abuse and its use as an amphetamine-like performance enhancer in athletics. I wish there were a way to convince Servier to reintroduce this drug.

thanks guys,
i have been trying to figure out when it will be coming to north america. i won't keeps my hopes up. i have determined that drugs that act on norepinephrine and dopamine are what help me. and i found that in my searches.

Amineptine (Survector) is available from some Brazilian pharmacies (no, I won't post details). However, one of the reasons for its withdrawal was liver failure in quite a few patients, so I'd be careful with this one -- it sounds promisiing, but also risky..

Just curious, but how seriously have you considered this PEA (with selegline) option? This is a temptingly fascinating idea which I've entertained myself in the past. But in my understanding, for the average person, obtaining some PEA would be an unrealistically difficult undertaking (unless he/she somehow happens to have the qualifying scientific and/or institutional credentials such that a chemical supply company would sell to him/her). But that is just my understanding. If you know otherwise, would much appreciate any enlightenment you could provide on this subject.

Ken :)
