Please share your stories - how much did you use, alone or with other meds, what where the effects, do you still use it and if not why, if you still use it how would you compare it to other anti-depressants you have used in the past. Thanks a lot guys!
Take care

Hi. I take 5 or 10 mg, on and off, depending on how depressed I am - spot treating as my pdoc says. It seems to work pretty fast actually. I don't think it packs quite the same punch as other antidepressants and it doesn't kill anxiety - it metabolizes to amphetamine. But it does help perk me up and feel more motivated when I'm a depressed anergic zombie. Most of the good days I've had in the last few months have been while taking selegiline.
One of the nice things is that it doesn't seem to give me much in the way of side effects. SSRIs haven't panned out too well for me and I couldn't tolerate the SEs from Effexor. Wellbutrin made me too jittery. And as you probably know you don't need to follow the MAOI dietary restrictions at 10 mg because selegiline is still selective at that dose.
I'm also taking Lamictal, atenolol, and clonazepam.
I know some people have found it did nothing for them. But someone else on this board thinks it's great stuff. Given the low SE profile, you might want to just give it a try and see what happens.
