Paxil Questions.............Please read

Posted by Kaytee on November 29, 2003, at 22:24:54

I recently switched from Celexa to regular Paxil (not CR). I have GAD. I am on day 8 of the switch and most of the initial side effects have gone away or are minor now, such as nausea and upset stomach, headache etc..........However, I still feel very strange in my head, as If I have to think just to think..........my concentration level is down as well and I have a strange burning sensation in my head, doesn't hurt, just feel weird..........I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this and if so, how long till it went away???

Any info you have would be appreciated,

Kaytee

> HI Kaytee,

BPII is often missed diagnosed as GAD...regular AD's can exaccerbate your problem or give you the SE you are mentioning. My md thought I was GAD...so did I...but I have learned that I am BPII. Please, please, look into rapid cycling and hypomania...people think that BP means you have to be extremely up or down and that's it...wrong...there is so much more to BP than this perception. Learn all you can...no one is your best advocate but you. Good luck.
