OK, I took Paxil for 6 weeks 11-12 years ago and felt progressivley worse on it (could not concentrate *at all*, almost got fired, etc.). I switched to WB-SR and felt great: lots of energy and focus. My doc's theory: I was not getting REM sleep on Paxil.
I have tried WB-SR a couple times since then, but the insomnia and irritability were too much for me, so I stopped it after a week or two.
NOW, I have been on WB-SR for 5 weeks (2 weeks 100x2, 3 weeks 150x2) and feel even more tired than before I started it (was able to work out before WB-SR), get 10 hours sleep and need an afternoon nap, and can't concentrate.
Why do I respond so strangely to ADs? Am I getting too much REM sleep now? It seems like I dream all night, which is pleasant, but I hate feeling so tired during the day. You are supposed to have *more* energy on WB!
Ideas? Thoughts? Help! My PCP will keep me on WB-SR until I can see a PDOC in 2 months (if I don't feel better), but I am so tired of being spacey, forgetful, and tired

<<I had the opposite effect for sleep, I can now get by with about 7 hours sleep, whereas on Paxil, I wanted to and could sleep 16 hours a day...deep, deep sleeps...I *do* however, still have some concentration problems on WB.

<<Other than the side effects from the drug, are you feeling better mood wise? Perhaps you are like me, and it takes a *long* time for side effects to go away....I'm sorry I'm not much help....I'm sure someone else here can tell you more...good luck,
Susan
