Hi im from UK and after asking my doctor for many months he has finally started me on a course of nardil. The problem is i can only start out at 3 x 15 mg daily (45mg) and after approx 4 weeks this has to taper down to 15 daily or every other day. I need to try and persuade my doctor that i need 60-75 mg of nardil for my social anxiety although another problem is that nardil in the uk is treated for depression only and is very rarely used. They prefer to give out the ssris for things like that (ive tried almost every ssri under the sun as well as beta blockers and effexor and tryciclics and none of them have lited my anxiety levels significantly and any small gains i do get poop out to quickly)
So if anyone can help me with regards to proper urls to proof of nardil or klonopin as the best social phobia drug out there it would be much appreciated and anyone from uk who suffer social anxiety and are frustrated by their doctor feel free to contact me. My next post will cover my symptomsps anyone who has been able to get klonopin of their uk doctor deserves a gold medal and should also contact me:p

Tell him: 'ABOUT TIME!!'!

What? I really don't think that is going to do much at all. I suppose he read the standard monograph where it says people can be maintained on 15 every day or every other day. Not true. No clinical trials support this. In fact, most support the fact that you need between 60-90mg.
I need to try and persuade my doctor that i need 60-75 mg of nardil for my social anxiety although another problem is that nardil in the uk is treated for depression only and is very rarely used.Find another doctor maybe. Get educated about the pharmacology behind Nardil, and let the doc know this.
They prefer to give out the ssris for things like that
Suprise, suprise...

I made a second mistake with the second URL. But when you go to Social Fear.com scroll down and click on 'Nardil'. There awaits clinical trials.

That's absolutely not true. To say 'they interact with just about every drug and fout out there' is hyperbolical.
And also, there is plenty of drugs you CAN take with Nardil.
Nardil is a safe, wonderful medication. Long term use is very safe- only very rarely does one see hepatic problems or metabolic changes. Also, Nardil usually has a very benign withdrawal.

i was surprised that you didn't go into a fit of expletive-filled disagreement, Ace, the way you act about Nardil. But that's good you didn't. It is such a shame that people are so ignorant about MAOIs & Nardil in particular though (esp dr.s).
i duno if i agree with you on that "benign withdrawal" thing though. i mean it may not be quite as bad as say Paxil but i still imagine that it's gonna be terrible. ok bye
