Hey all,
Klonopin had been a life saver for me...I am in my 3rd week and I feel better than I have in 10 years. Taking .25 mornings and evenings....no probs at all....except for the slight constant headache. Anyone else experience this...its almost like not there but it is...hard to explain...but other than that I feel great-
Andy

Hi:
I had a very similar experience on Klonopin. I had a continual headache right after starting Klonopin, for 3 weeks that seemed to resolve spontaneously. My doctor thought it was actually a sinus infection ( the pain was right between my eyes) and I thought he was right. But I think that it may well have been an adjustment side-effect to Klonopin. Do you suspect a possible sinus infection or other cause for your headache? Sometimes stress/anxiety causes headaches too, and they can take a while to subside, even though the anxiety is treated. Just some suggestions.

I am so glad for your success. I rejoiced in getting my functioning back - I have had great results with Klonopin. I have been at the same dosage range (low) for over a year, actually close to a year and a half. I can't speak to the headache issue, but I do have a tension neck and shoulder thing that comes up ever now and again. That is the area my tension likes to live. I think after I felt better, I started to notice the real muscle tension I had carried around for a while.
A very wise person once told me to "stop getting in my own way" in my treatment and recovery. I fought taking Klonopin due to negative information I found in researching this med. (I don't discredit at all that this class of drugs shouldn't be used in some individuals) Some of us can avoid the pitfalls and this is a good treatment for us.
Sorry for the "soapbox". I hope for your continued success in your treatment and that your headache problem subsides.

Yup, I have had the same effect. For me, the headaches eventually went away though, so don't worry unless it persists. Elle
P.S. If it continues, call your doctor.

I didn't have that side effect, but did have some other minor ones at the beginning with Klonopin. The side effects generally disappear pretty quickly, but the anti-anxiety effects should remain indefinitely. Klonopin is a remarkably effective med.
This is the end of the thread.
