Hey my pdoc is giving me doxepin for anxiety. As it is I'm freaked out by it. I dont need sedation (which i don't get from valium). He gave me valium as needed and it works great. I just started taking Wellbutrin and I'd rather just use valium until the wellbutrin starts helping out. Should I take the doxepin and give it a try or not? I dont like messing around with my brain like that. Valium I know is safe and I've taken klonopin and xanax before. What do you guys think?

Since you just started Wellbutrin you might need something more to help you sleep or get through the initial extra anxiety caused sometimes by WB. Doxepin will help in that regard.

Doxepin, is not a bad drug. It has a different side effect profil than some Tryciclics.
I would give it a try. Sometimes only a low dose
10-30 mg is very effective for both sleep and anxiety levels.Good Luck
