I have read on the internet recently of a new patch that can be applied to the skin to treat depression. The patch feeds the MAO Inhibitor Selegiline into the blood stream, by-passing the digestive system, and so eliminating the need for dietary restrictions.
Has anyone else heard of this? Does anyone know when it will be available?

Yes, it is a dermal patch, and it is a little different than the type of MAOIs (MAOI-A) given in the U.S. It is considered an MAOI-B. It bypasses gastointestinal absorption supposedly making the dietary restrictions much less problematic. I know that it is available in Canada and the UK, unsure when it will be available in the U.S. There is a lot on it if you look up Selegiline patch on Google.

Are you certain about this information? I don't believe Selegiline is available in transdermal form anywhere in the world. Please provide evidence to substantitate this beyond 'search google'.
