In reply to Quit Zoloft 2 months ago - Anxiety is BACK: help!, posted by Hetfield on September 29, 2003, at 10:00:25
> Hi people. I have been off the Zoloft for 2 months now (taking it for anxiety/IBS). I was doing great up until a week ago - good guts, anxiety under control. Then last Monday I talked to my dad about getting my wisdom teeth out (all 4 come out this Friday) and he is such a negative dude - he put the fear of God into me and I gave myself a nice anxiety attack. That same day my mom was in a car accident (she's OK). These 2 things along with my dread of the oral surgery sparked my anxiety and brought my IBS back - stomach aches bad, nausea, etc.

>I betcha that after the surgery you will be fine....2 weeks of ativan won't make you an addict. And evne 3 or 4 weeks won't. You are about to go through something traumatic, and you experienced something traumatic with your mom, and your dad isn't helping, so I would think that you might want to give yourself a bit of a break (easy for me to say, right???) AAfter the surgery you will have to relax and take some nasty medicine for pain. I bet you will never want to take ativan again!!!!
PBPS: You didn't give yourself a nice panic attack...your dad did
