Im Ritchie, have ADHD and recently ahve developed severe depression. I don't know what happned, i used to be soo motivated keep up my grades, but now im a Junior, and im borderline on failing all my classes. My adderall used to give me euphoric motivation to do my work, but now i dont feel anything, no motivation, nothing. I have had many sucidal thoughts, my life is falling to the lowest point ever. What happened, why am i losing it, losing everything, losing control of my life! I really do think i may need Prozac, i get so depressed, sucidal thoughts and emotional breakdowns really are kicking in hard. I may need to go to a stronger ADHD medication, dexedrine, or desoxyn. Im not sure if it will help, it may just create more chaos with emotions. Some please give me some advice. Please

If you are having suicidal thoughts you need to express this to somebody who can help. Dexdrine and ADD treatments are not effective for depression, long term. These medications can only indirectly help depression.
You need to talk to a counseler in your school or in your comnunity, they can help you make the changes necessicary in your life to help your symptoms. Lifestyle changes, and if necessary, medication.
Please, if you are feeling this way, you need to take the step to ask somebody for help. If you feel you can't talk to your parents then perhaps a school counseller. Thats what they're there for.
Best of Luck

Ritchie, see a doctor asap & tell him what you have told us. The reason everything is falling apart is as you've said - you are depressed. You need to act fast, the sooner you get some meds into you the sooner things can get back on track for you. Just keep reminding yourself that the really bad thoughts & feelings are caused by an illness, try not to give them any power over you.
Seek help now Ritchie & let us know how you go. Post as much as you need to - lots of people are around who will give you some support. The social board is good if you just want to talk.
It will be ok!

If you have not eaten today, please do. By that, I mean have you eaten a meal, not snack food or McDonalds? Can you go to a cafeteria or restaurant and sit down and have a balanced meal? Eat a meal with meat and vegetables that haven't been fried. If you go to the library afterward, you might get an hour or two of studying done. Do it somewhere other than your room if that's where you usually study and you are finding yourself unable to get started. Those two things can help you feel better today and tomorrow until you can find someone to help you get started with an anti-depressant.
I'm going to be watching for answers. Don't underestimate that meal.
Are your parents an option, Ritchie? An aunt, uncle, grandparent, teacher, minister, neighbor? If you have a psychiatrist or psychologist and can't get in to see them Monday, do you have a family doctor you can go see?
This is the end of the thread.
