LEXAPRO IS A TRUE BLESSING :-)

Posted by galkeepinon on September 2, 2003, at 19:26:34

Wheeeeeewwwwwwwww, after many weeks of waiting for the C-Pass, my insurance covered my Lex!!!
Woo hoooooo *kicking up heels* I am very, very lucky! I'm still on 10mg a day. Funny though, it's still 'all about the almighty dollar' LOL~~they will give me the 20mg tablets and I will cut them in half, of course~it's cheaper for the insurance company;)
Anyway, I am very relieved. I will be finishing up week 5 on Thursday and had only the second crying spell yesterday since starting Lex. I knew why I was very upset~family issues, me, my life, where I'm headed, wrongs I've done, (yes I admit it), but the crying didn't last~they were real tears, toxins and all.
Lexapro is helping me work through these feelings when they come without going into a hospital, getting suicidal, or *staying* in the feelings. My appetite is at a low, I am losing weight actually, if not maintaining it. The only side effects I seem to still experience at this point are shakiness (hands) in the morning when I wake up, still a little bit of insomnia, and mild headaches, but they are dissipating and are becoming less noticeable, hopefully as time goes on they will disappear.
I really, really like Lexapro and I hope that all those here that are on it are doing well~and good luck to us Lex users!!!!!
keep posting:-)

Gal-

Hi. Great to hear that the Lex is working for you!!!! The side effects will continue to diminish and soon you'll forget you even had them!!

Same thing happened with my insurance. Get the 20mg and have to cut in half. That's fine with me since I don't have to pay either. Yeah!!

Anyways, been awhile since i've chatted with you, and is really good to hear that it's getting better for you! WooHoo.

The Lex is still doing wonders for me, too. It's been 2 months now, and I sometimes forget the time of side effects. A good thing. Only negative thing I recently experienced was drinking on lexapro last week. Not a good combo for me!! The alcohol canceled out the benefits of the lex. Was sick for like 3 days. But, anyways.........
How's school?

Hugs,
Arrianna

(((((Arrianna))))) hugs to you too :-)
good to see your post! I'm totally fine with cutting those buggers in half~at least they are covered! LOL
Are you feeling better? Did you post on what happened with the alcohol and the Lex with you? I would have responded, I must have missed it? god I wish I could have helped you! Hey~it happens. I'm sorry:( I really hope you are feeling better!! 2 months! Woo Hoo!!! I'm glad that it's still helping you. I'm about ready to finish my 5th week, seems longer for some reason, I have really been keeping track of this, because I was so dang depressed, crying non-stop before I started Lex.
Anywaaayyyyyysss........
School is okay. It is tough, but I'll get there.

No new side effects? Not that I want you to focus on any! *cringes* What ways are YOU feeling better? You're on 10mg right? Seems to be the norm around here ;)
Hooray for you too:-)
