Hi,
I've been on 75mg of effexor xr for 2 weeks and have just settled down with the side effects. Im upping my does to 150mg tonight. Can I expect to have the same side effects as I had initially starting effexor xr.

> Please commentYou might...but they will probably/should be more short lived than your initial side effects...your body should be adjusting to the level of Effexor in your system so *if* you have any more side effects they should go away more quickly. Hope this helps...good luck!

Hi,
Its the morning after and had practically no sleep.
Could just get breakfast down but it was hard.
I feel like crap, don't know if upping was a good choice at this stage. Its 8.00 am and ive just arrived at work, its going to be a long day ahead.
My stomach is burning and I want to sleep.
Better go now, thanks for the posts

Hi,
Are you taking your effexor at night? The reason I ask is because it can keep some people awake. Especially when you start to up the dosage it can become more stimulating than when its taken in a smaller dose. Hope this has helped you in some way. How are you doing?

Hi Nissy,
Yeah taking it at night, I tried in the morning but found it would wear off and I was getting aggitated/frustrated easy before I left for work, didn't want to leave home every morning losing it with everybody, hense back to night time.
This morning I felt really bad, sick and dog tired, but at 11.00am something kicked in and I felt fantastic, so much energy. Its now 4pm and I still feel pretty good, my heads getting a bit heavy though.
Have you been on this stuff, if so what dosage and how did it go.
Thanks for the post, its nice to know somebody is out there at these times, im only new to all this med stuff.
Thanks for you time.

Ant,
Yes, I am on Effexor XR. Currently taking 450 mg. a day. I have been on it for several years. I lowered my dosage when I was pregnant and just recently went back up to 450 mg. because I was feeling depressed and no energy again. I am starting to feel back to normal. I hope that you are doing well.
:) Nissy
