May be a silly question, but has anyone ever heard of taking .125mg as needed for anxiety? Seems a little low.

Heard of .5 mg, heard of .25 mg, but never .125 mg.
But you never know, some people are just super sensitive to certain meds and that might be enough for a particular person.

Funny you should ask this question. I'm in the process of tapering off Klonopin and in April, I encountered uncomfortable withdrawal anxiety when tapering at the rate of .25 mg every seven days. So I dropped my tapering rate to .125 mg. Apparently, I'm very sensitive to decreases of more than .125 mg., so I can surely imagine a person getting a beneficial response to that quantity when feeling anxious.

I was taking 3mg per day as needed. I recently switched to Tranxene because I didn't feel the Klonopin was helping one bit. However, I'm worse on the Tranxene BUT I think it may be because my pdoc didn't wean me from the Klonopin along with taking the Tranxene. I've been having major anxiety and withdrawal symptoms despite being on the Tranxene.
I have heard of .5mg dosage of Klonopin but not lower than that.

I took tranxene for a bit but it made me feel like a zombie. And that was with a 3.75 pill. Are you tired at all on it?

The Tranxene doesn't make me tired AT ALL. I've even been taking more than the 7.5x4 (30mg per day)because my nervousness has been extreme. I can take 3 tabs(22.5mg)at night and still not sleep (I think this is a side effect of the Lexapro I'm on, but weaning myself off of) I'm going to see about taking something else, perhaps even return to Klonopin, not sure.

I agree with jlo820 who posted here - everyone reacts differently to various doses of meds. Being sensitive to high doses myself, I can easily understand how the very low dose of Klonopin you mentioned could indeed have an effect on you. (FYI - I take 1 mg Klonopin twice a day)

Exactly... and when you consider that in most benzodiazepine equivalence charts Klonopin is considered to be twice as potent as Xanax, then 0.125mg is not such a low dose. I know many people who take the equivalent dose of Xanax (0.25mg) and that's all they need. Hell, my stepfather can't handle any more than 1/16th of a milligram of Xanax!!
