I am up to 600 x 2 per day of trileptal and have noticed a great improvement in my depression but feel that it hasn't done much for the anxiety. I am also taking 50 mg of zoloft and 18 mg of Strattera. I have been experiencing dizziness and "spaceyness" the past few weeks and have found that the only source of relief is 1 mg of ativan during the day. I hate to pop the ativan every day and am wondering about any alternative meds or changes in dosages that I could try. Is trileptal known to help with anxiety?

Why's it so bad to pop the ativan everyday? Hell, pop 2 of em if you need it! There's nothing long with using benzos long-term, as long as you realize you will have to do a gradual taper if and when you decide to come off.

Caleb...I had to chuckle when I read your post because yesterday I DID pop two of them. I was just so anxious, agitated, depressed, you name it and the ativan smoothed things out. I guess I am so sick of trying all of these meds and med combos and by taking the ativan, I am adding one more to the mix. This is all too frustrating for me.
