I've taken MAO for past 24 years (Nardil for most of them), doctors in new city (Phildelphia) won't prescribe much longer. Open to trying something different but concerned about social phobia and also side effects of weight gain, fatigue, sexual inhibition. Want to hear from former MAO users who have switched to any of these meds - what was experience, and what about above side effects. thanks.

You didnt receive those side effects with Nardil? 24 years is long! Can't you find a doc that will keep prescribing

Contact the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Phila, the Depression Research Unit. Dr. Jay Amsterdam is a great proponent of MAOIs and im sure they will help you find someone who will prescribe Nardil for you. Best of Luck. Its ridiculous that those docs wont give you what you need.
