...or does everyone find this stuff to be about as weak as aspirin?
Also, because I'm allergic to OTC analgesics, I'm wondering about Canadian Hycodan (just contains hydrocodone). Could a U.S. doctor write a prescription for this stuff that I could get filled at an online Canadian pharmacy?

Yep... it sucks. Propoxyphene is actually a less effective analgesic than asprin.

Most of the online Canadian pharmacies I've seen won't sell any opiates, benzos, etc., even with a prescription -- i.e., anything they think has any chance of being abused. I'm not sure if this is a liability issue, or has more to do with U.S. import laws. There could be exceptions though; I haven't researched this thoroughly.

Hydrocodone with no other ingredients is a schedule II drug, same as oxycontin, whereas mixed with tylenol (vicodin, lortab, etc.) it is only schedule III. You can get it in the US if a doctor will prescribe it for you. To be filled, you must go to a 'compounding' pharmacy. They can measure out the drug and put it in capsules.

Yeah,I hate Darvon. Barely does anything for pain.
Codeine on the other hand works great for me. Go figure!
