Ive been diagnosed with bi polar recently (mild form, maybe type II) and I have had symptoms dysthymia all my life. I read that life long dysthymics often have bi polar II. anybody like this? what has helped? I have only responded to stimulants for a short period before poop out. can lamictal help stim poop out? Ive heard that it can. thanks

'mild bipolar' still can be life altering...
I'm on 40mg prozac to keep me 'up' 200mg lamictal to make sure i don't keep going 'up' and .5mg ativan to help me go 'down' at bedtime...
After 5 years of fiddling with doses and medications, finally found the 'mix' for me... Start with the antidepressant and work from there...
