Well, as to the pupil dilation, she said it should go away. She kept me on the Effexor and added depakote/epival to it for the increased anxiety side effect. She also upped my benzo dosage. She wants to see me next week and if my eyes haven't stopped being weird, she said we'll try something other than effexor.
Ah well, guess I'll just have to keep going and just see how it goes.

...(no pun intnded) but the nightshade plant, belladonna, got its name "beautiful woman" because women in the Renaisssance used to put decotions of it as drops in their eyes as it's an atropine & made their pupils open wide. It was considered a sign of beauty to have large pupils. Bet you look beautiful with your large dark pupils.

Glad you are working on your meds--Sounds like a pdoc you can work well with! She is giving hope that there are a number of possibilities to explore. Hang in there!
