i'm so sorry, i understand your suffering. it took me along time to get off effexor. the way i did it was that as soon as i was uncomfortable ie had any withdrawal, i upped the dose a bit till the withdrawal went away. this avoided the suffering. then i re reduced the drug, more slowly this time. i totally avoided any withdrawal. the one difference for u is that u are pregnant-is there any time restriction. i mean do u have to be off it in a hurry?
also i tried the method of tiding over with prozac and another time with imipramine- neither helped.
i hope u come off in due time and if ther is no time restriction on withdrawal i feel it is best to allow your boy to adjust to lower doses slowly. why add to your suffering. just my experience, hope it helps
good luck, and congrats on the baby

Celexa is even worse to come off of than Effexor- it's called SSRI withdrawal syndrome and it's the dirty little secret of SSRI's. You just have to go cold turkey, and it will blow over in about five days. People can't get off Paxil either. You need to bitch at your shrink about this- those guys should be managing this kind of stuff better.
Look in the links section for Dr Ivans Depression Central site. He has a page on this.
Been there, done it, know how you feel. Wish I had a better answer, but unfortuneatly that's how it is. Don't touch the Celexa.missliz
