Pun intended... :)
I'm on Paxil CR and am having problems with impotence. I'm thinking of switching to Effexor. Has anyone here had similar problems on Paxil that improved once they switched to Effexor or any other SSRI?
Thanks,
Jon

In my experience, all the anti-depressants make arousal hard ( or is that limp.) And they tend to lower one's sex drive. Wellbutrin is a little better.

I experienced impotence with Paxil, Celexa, Effexor, and Zoloft. Loss of interest as well.
Paxil was the worst in terms of impotence. Nitrous oxide is needed for the erection process, and Paxil apparently inhibits nitrous oxide.
I thought Zoloft was the worst in terms of lack of desire.
They were all numbing to me and my sex life.
Except for one. Good ole Prozac. I should have gone to this one first. I actually have enhanced erections and normal desire. In literature, there are lots of case studies and anecdotal evidence suggesting that of all the SSRIs, Prozax may be the most sex friendly. For some people not. For me, it blows the others in the weeds.
