I want to talk to my GP about taking a low dose of Wellbutrin along with Lexapro to counteract s/e. Those of you who do that, what dose of it do you take.
Thanks... EGR

> Thanks... EGRWhen I was taking Paxil and then Zoloft, I was also taking 450mg of Wellbutrin... although I started initially at 300mg. For me, I really enjoyed the lift of the tiredness Paxil gave me (although some people find Wellbutrin too much of a lift...like drinking to much coffee). I don't know much about Lexapro, but I assume it's still considered a SSRI. If so, you can take a theraputic dose of Wellbutrin (300mg of the SR version) and gain the advantage of two antidepressants. Your biggest problem may be getting your GP to go for it, as a whole they tend to be a little more conserative than a specialist.

I was afraid of that. I was on Wellbutrin alone, 300 mgs. and had horrendous buzzing in my head and pretty bad insomnia... although, I would suspect that the Lexapro (since it seems to make me sleepy) would counteract that... I still have some left, so maybe I'll just play around with the 150's and see what happens...
Thanks.... EGR
