I have a quick question for people taking celexa.
I am currently taking 45mg of remeron and 40mg of celexa for panic disorder. I am on week 7 of celexa. The problem is I am feeling very nervous right now. I know that ssri's, initially, cause nervousness when the body is going through down regulation of the seratonin receptors. Has anybody experienced a lot of anxiety 7 weeks into taking celexa or could i be experiencing serotonin syndrome?
I don't think it is the latter and I realize that many panic patients are med sensitive. Any suggestions from others experience with celexa would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Remeron in the higher doses may be the
culprit. I found it had a pro anxiety effect
on me in the larger doses. You may want
to try and reduce this. 15 mg is still very
effective for improving the sleep disturbances
the SSRI's might be causing.I found that Remeron really made me nervous
about upcomming tests and such. Celexa helped
with this anxiety.Meds effect everyone differently. You may try
and reduce each one a little - indevidually,
to see which one is causing the most problems. What sorts of things are you thinking about
when you are nervous ??Linkadge
