Saw the pdoc today. She is going to wean me off the Remeron, add back the Zoloft and gave me Ativan to see me through the withdrawel. She is going to have me take 4 weeks to get me from 30 mgs. to 15 mgs. Sounds like prolonged torture to me, what do you think? I told her I thought the Remeron was causing the weight gain, she looked at me like "GEE, YA THINK? and a giggle". I should have listened to her months ago. Maybe these pdocs DO know something, lol! Oh, I forgot to ask you, did you ever lose the Remeron pounds you gained? PLEASE tell me it's possible!

OH yes, I lost that weight with little problem. It doesn't just fall off in a couple of weeks though-so don't get discouraged. I would follow her directions about stopping the Remeron, though. Just because many don't have any withdrawal problems from it, doesn't mean you won't have a withdrawal syndrome. I suspect it will be fairly easy. You might feel more drowsy when you reduce the dosage-that may be the worst part of the process.

Shedding these pounds sure would be nice! I am going to hole off on the withdrawel until after New Years, no since in ruining the holidays if I feel yucky!. Thanks for all the support, I really appreciate it!
