Hi,
Now that I have replied to some people telling them how wonderful Lexapro has worked for my depression (which it has), my anxiety has started to come back.
I had terrible anxiety for about 6 years. Five months ago, I was diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder. I went on a mood stabilizer and my anxiety finally went completely away:) However, I became depressed:( I added on Lexapro (10mg) and now my anxiety is returning.
Can anyone relate? Has this happened to anyone else? Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks in advance for any replies!

> KrystiHi Krysti, I have found that SSRI's have this very *narrow* window that I can tolerate. Anything approaching a standard dose (of any of them), makes me more agitated and anxious. However, if I drop the dose down gradually, I eventually find a *spot* that doesn't make me agitated and actually reduces anxiety. It is tough to do when meds come in such walloping doses for folks with bipolar who need help with anxiety and mild depressive swings.

Hi Ritch,
Thanks for your reply. I started cutting the pills in half to 5mg so we'll see if that helps. I do seem to be sensitive to meds so hopefully I was just taking too much. We'll see:) Thanks again for your reply.
