This will be my third time going back on paxil. I was first put on it three years ago for depression and anxiety. IT looks like I will be on it for the rest of my life, or until they come out with something better. Most of the side effects don't bother me but the insomnia is the only thing that really sucks. What can I take to sleep at night? I don't want to rely on benadryl or zyprexa for sleep which I have taken with paxil in the past. What else is out there?

You should try Trazadone as it works extremely well for insomnia. Trazadone tends to leave you with a really dry mouth and most likely will for the entire time you're using it. The bonus is that it's not addictive and I had absolutely no problem quitting it cold turkey after it started to affect with the SSRI that I'm on.When I quit taking Trazadone I switched over to daily doses of Clonazepam (Klonopin) which also helps me with my panic attacks. This drug is extremely effective for battling insomnia, however, it's a Benzo and tends to be addictive.
