I take 4800mg of Neurontin. Has anyone ever heard of Neurontin causing anorgasmia?
Could untreated depression itself cause anorgasmia?

Depression itself has caused anorgasmia for me. I'm not sure if Neurontin causes anorgasmia. Did you have anorgasmia while you were depressed before going on Neurontin?
Neurontin is one of the Meds my pdoc is considering to give me in place of the Klonopin. I'm really interested to know if this really is a side effect of the Neurontin or not?

Hi.
Neurontin is good for GAD, social phobia, and even panic attacks, but its usefulness for depression is limited. Plus, you have to take it 4x/day because its half-life is 6-8 hrs.
No, I've been taking Neurontin for a while and this is the first time I've experienced anorgasmia. My doctor says its doesn't cause it. I just started taking Wellbutrin and perhaps that's the problem, but I heard that Wellbutrin actually combats anorgasmia.

Hi Pat.My S.O. Tammy is currently taking Neurontin 1200mg and Wellbutrin 150mg. since November, 2001. She has never experienced anorgasmia. Far from it.

Neurontin hammered my sex life so completely that I stopped taking it without supervision. Funny thing was though, it worked for my depression. I have been thinking about giving it a second chance and being much more careful with the dosing. Try taking a little less and then a little less. Does it work for the psych problem you take it for?

High-dose Neurontin led to 100% anorgasmia for me. Totally unexpected. I took Neurontin in an unsucessful attempt to treat non-depressive social phobia. (Since then, low-dose Klonopin has done the job wonderfully.) Complete sexual function returned as soon as I got off Neurontin.
