I take prozac, seroquel up to 100 mgs, and Topamax 300 mgs a day. My problem is I have zero for energy. I have lost 75 lbs (not through using the Topamax, my own willpower did it), now I am gaining weight like crazy, so far in a four month period I have gained back 25 lbs. I don't have the energy to do my usual workouts, or even maintain a sensible eating plan. My pdoc has suggested taking the meds at night but I am so wiped out! He put me on 10 mgs of ritalin 3 times a day, but that didn't help, should I try it again? or is there something over the counter I can try? Any advice is much appreciated!!! I am becoming more and more withdrawn because of this and feel horrible.
thank you

dexadrine works for me. adderal & ritalin helped some, but not as much as dexadrine. it helps my depression as well.
good luck,

Hi Ms. Ladybug,
It sounds like your body has been through a great deal of changes. First and foremost try to be patient until you get on the right meds, this can sometimes take a couple years.
I have a great deal of energy problems due to depression and what works for me is less sugar, no coffee, and herbs and supplements.
I just recently dicovered yerba mate which is one of the greatest rejuvinators in the world. It is a stimulant and is used to aid in weight reduction, provides mental clarity, sustains physical energy, improves digestion, and lifts the mood.
If you want more information, go to beyondcoffee.com.
I also take siberian ginseng, blue-green algae, b-vitamins.
I hope you feel better soon. Please keep me posted
Amy
