Please, replace all of your current prescriptions with Desoxyn. Especially if you want to lose weight.
Desoxyn will replace all current drugs on the market within 5 years.
Thank you for your cooperation.

Sorry, stims can't treat everything.

>Yeah, I was thinking of the problem with Desoxyn not curing dandruff, too... but besides that, it should replace all other drugs.

Would you like to wager, ummm, say $100,000,000.00?
By the way, what size dose do you take?

I don't take Desoxyn yet because my p-doc's never heard of it and doesn't understand why I would want to switch to it if Ritalin's mostly working.
It only comes in 5 mg Immediate Release, since Abbot abruptly discontinued all extended release dosages in Aug 2000.
If I can get the rest of the Internet prescribed for it, my hope is my doctor will feel more comfortable switching me to it. It'll also tie up the investigators the DEA has trying to routinely audit deviant doctors who prescribe the stuff as an intimidation tactic.

FYI.....
MA is metabolized into amphetamine, and amphetamine is the primary active when you
take MA. In a study of long term IV MA
users, NONE could tell the difference
between IV MA and d-amphetamine, till the 4-6
hour point. d-amphetamine levels fall off at
this point. MA is long acting, meaning it is
around longer to be made into amphetamine. So the only advantage to MA over amphetamine
is length of action and once a day dosing.
If you have taken Dex, MA is metabolized into
the same thing.

I've never taken Dex. But I believe the metabolizing action is not necessary the same...
More important, there is a difference between IV MA users and people taking MA in a responsible way. One will get brain damage, one won't. One will get lowered dopamine levels for the rest of their life, one won't.
Several drugs metabolize into amphetamine- this doesn't make them the same as each other.
One doctor claimed Desoxyn has a less varied result in dosing- it, unlike Dex, is more likely to last three hours in his patients. Dex may vary over different patients. I can't take Adderall anymore, because a dose I take at 6AM doesn't leave until midnight, and in between I feel terrible and anxious and can't even feel hunger. I eventually fed myself at 7:30PM, 13 1/3 hours after not eating anything that day, and noticed my hand was quickly approaching my mouth each time I fed myself even while I experienced abdominal fullness.

I understand that you'd like to be able to take it yourself, but the idea here is to support and educate...

Dr. Bob,
I understand your concerns, and will try to come as more approachable next time- I felt that offering the consumer number for Ovation and passing along Desoxyn information was helpful- if that appears unsupportive, I will try not to do it again.
