I noticed better color perception as well--nice side-effect!

For Sebastion and Roman:

I have been on a multitude of drugs in an attempt to treat a severe and treatment-resistant bipolar depression.

I was wondering which drugs you have tried in the past that proved ineffective. This would give me a good idea as to whether Celexa would offer a logical alternative. I have never tried it.

Thanks in advance.

Scott:

Since I don't have a bipolar disorder, I can't speak from experience. I have tried Paxil and Serzone and found them too activating. Celexa is more mellow for me so far, but I've only been taking it for a week--don't know what will happen a few weeks down the road--so far, so good.

There are plenty of folks here experienced in dealing with bipolar issues. I'm certain if you post a specific message, or do a few searches, you'll find a load of useful information.

Good luck.

SLS

Drugs that didn't work: Prozak, Risperdal.

Risperdal gave me holucinations.

Prozak did nothing for me. May have even made me sicker.

My best drugs have been Zyprexa and Celexa. These were most positive for me.

There was another that did something like swalowing or a stiff neek, that I had to be taken off of right away. I'll find out what that was and let you know.

Is bad spelling a side effect?
