I cannot take any conventional medication and would be interested to know if anyone has had any success with alternative medicine, perhaps even homeopathy.

My pdoc and several people here have mentioned Omega Brite fish oil. They sell it on their website. I just started it at 2000 mg a day and an going to give it a good trial. It's good because of the 7 to 1 ratio of EPA to DHA. It also has no bad after taste.
If I couldn't do meds, I would try it with Same.

You might also consider taurine taken on an empty stomach, 750 mg twice daily.
Or learn self-hypnosis. Or meditation.
I certainly think a lot more Omega 3 oil is a big help for all of us sufferers. I take 5000 mg/day of micronized fish oil, flax oil and DHA/EPA capsules.

Have you had bad experiences with conventional drugs?

My suggestion is to start with this site; I went to a conference last month with some well known psychiatrists and came out very impressed (and loaded with books on natural ways to help mental illness) I am doing things slowly, and with a lot of support, but I am quite hopeful that I will not need meds at some time in the near future.
Best of luck, judy

Just a bit, I was fine on meds until I was advised to combine Remeron with Effexor. Since then I have been prescribed ten different meds and had extreme reactions to all of them. My brain is now so sensitive to drugs that I literally cannot even take paracetamol. It has actually got to the point that I not sure what would happen if I took things like St John's Wort
