Help! I MUST study but my mind is out! Panic!

Posted by eve70 on July 15, 2002, at 9:03:28

Hi,
I'm unipolar depressed currently on reboxetine 8 mg.
My real problem is this: i must study for xxximportant examination but i can't concentrate my mind on study!
I think i'm haveing a continuate panick attack, cause i am fear of not to pass that examination. I'm completely blocked!
I can't take SSRI cause that meds reduce my mind clearity and make me totally numb.
What should i take? BDZ?
Which bdz is more activant and make me less dizzy?
Xanax? or others activant meds?
Thanks very much for your very important help.
Apologize for my bad english!
Bye

That's too much reboxetine IMHO. 8mg/day seems high to me; I would cut your daily dosage to say 4mg and see what happens. If you aren't getting antidepresant action, raise it up to 6. If you're still feeling panicky, drop it down to 2mg/day. You will probably want to call your doctor first, but he/she would probably say the same thing. You're experiencing the effects of too much noradrenaline in the brain.

Hi Eve,
When I'm in that kind of situation, xanax works well and fast (and only lasts 3-4 hours). I can't recommend it enough. Take care and good luck-judy
