I have subjective experience with this drug and like it as an augmentor to Paxil. You also might be interested to learn that I could take say 400mg of the stuff and fall asleep if I chose to after it started to kick in! I have heard reports of it starting to poop out a bit after as little as two weeks. It still seems to work then, just not as well in my experience. I think it's a neat drug, and it's non-addictive.

Thanks for asking. Yes, that was yesterday morning. I was feeling a bit off ... it is not a good idea to take caffeine while on Wellbutrin it would seem. The two don't interact well. It would also seem to support the argument that one should take their medicine at the same time each day (I skipped out on my Remeron dose).

I take the following drugs and dietary supplements each day:

7.5mg Remeron
300mg Wellbutrin (150mg 2x a day)
360-540mg DHA (180mg 2x-3x a day)
240-360mg EPA (120mg 2x-3x a day)
25mg DHEA
652mg Calcium
5000 I.U. Vitamin A (20% a beta carotene)
90mg Vitamin C
400mg Vitamin D
45 I.U. Vitamin E
2.25 mg Vitamin B1 (thiamin)
2.55 mg Vitamin B2 (riboflavin)
20mg Niacin
3mg Vitamin B6
400 mcg Folate
9 mcg Vitamin B12
10 mg Pantothenic Acid
150 mcg Iodine
100mg Magnesium
15 mg Zinc
87.5 mcg Selenium
2 mg Copper
3.5 mg Manganese
150 mcg Chromium
75 mcg Molybdenum
34 mg Chloride
37.5 mg Potassium

&Occassionally 250-500mg kava before I go to bed

All these leave me feeling calm, cool, collected, and well, but not too well for my own good (unless I throw something angry into the mix). My memory has never been better and my thought processes run smoothly and efficiently. I have gained 17 pounds in the past month and a half by the way. I did this on purpose because I'd lost wait from depression and anxiety issues.
I am finding it harder and harder to pack on any more pounds, so perhaps my body has found an equilibrium point. I crave nothing.

Hey Shawn glad you are feeling better...

I thought you deserved to know, in case you don't already, that Kava is thought to cause damage to kidneys or liver, don't remember which...

... i wonder what the actual mechanism is?

... funny thing that caffeine... now that i've become an old timer (27), i'm starting to become more ashamed of my behaviour while sober and anxious than drunk or manic... i think it's a sign of maturity when you realize things just don't matter ...

(except stimulation of the nucleus accumbens and septal nuclei, of course)

Hi Shawn-

I was so excited to see the heading "Great news on ADHD". I have been diagnosed with ADHD, and it's literally kicking my a** with regard to work and my relationship.

Ok, I'm going to sound really stupid here, BUT those links I clicked on pointed me to a page with a lot of technical jargon. I can't even begin to translate it into everyday language. What does it all mean and does it mean that I no longer have to take these damn Adderall meds everyday?

Thanks,

-puppy-
