My Lithium friends, drop me a line

I'm looking for a few people out there on Lithium or who have taken Lithium.
here's my lineup:
600mg Lithium nightly
10mg Zyprexa nightly

200mg Wellbutrin morning
75mg Effexor morning.

Can someone tell me how LIthium has affected you, good or bad, and how long it took for the change to occur? I've been taking it for 3 days now and today was actually a worse day than before. Also, we started the WB about 11 days ago and haven't noticed anything from that. Feeling very in a slump and could use some words of encouragement.

Lithium has been really good for me. I take 750mg/day (300 lithobid & 450 Eskalith CR). It prevents any daily crashes and keeps me out of the really dark depression. I noticed positive effects within the first few days. I am now to a point though where I am almost taking the benefits for granted a bit. I'm very worn out from it and am currently working on using a stimulant to counter act the problem. Best of luck!

Hi,

I've taking lithium for about 20 years plus;
I don't think i have had the problems that
many people have with ADs - i think it is a
very good drug. About 7 yrs into taking it
i had to be supplemented with Synthroid as
it does affect the thyroid; but I have had no
kidney problems so far. It does increase the
appetite (used for anorexia btw); but all in all
for the amount of years taken, I would say
this a remarkable drug.
