holy cowssssssss! it's like it makes me so SOCIAL. I am here having conversations with lovely women and i can go on and on and on! before i could hardly think of what to say! this is amazing! and so much more motivation! and less anxiety! WOWWWWWWW
---half a pill of ritalin (blue pill version) did this! and i felt it yesterday too when i for once was able to feel excitement, and amazement and PURE ENJOYMENT as i watched a movie. the only time i felt that way was when i was normal and before the severe depression and anxiety came and damaged my brain.
this is amazing. i got the ritalin from a good friend. a very 'close' friend.
and so i will have to talk to my pdoc about this. and when coming off the ritalin there is no big crash that i think some people were talking about. instead i just go back to my 'decent' yet quite depressed state.
this ritalin is amazing. it's like it restores my life for the short while as when the pill is active. just wow. i for once can feel again how it is to be alive. no it doesn't cure me. but lets just say some moments i feel like i am getting there :). just happy to be alive. so happy :).
and doctors dont want to prescribe these? bleh. silly doctors :p. is their judgement really that great? they dont know how we feel. sometimes my chemical depression and anxiety was so mentally torturing that i nearly attempted suicide. but no lets not give me any stimulants... lets keep trying countless meds... 17 of them. none work well for me except paxil which works simply 'somewhat'. but this ritalin wow. simply amazing. so much passion. i feel so loving. i am able to feel such strong emotions. so amazing. i wouldn't mind taking these meds for the rest of my life if i have to. and my social anxiety is better too! paxil is to thank for that. but who knows maybe ritalin does something for that too.
well take care everyone. i been trying out this ritalin for just 2 days now and will enjoy taking it daily :).

I'm glad to hear you are feeling better and have found some relief! :) I'd be very interested to know if you maintain these benefits after a week or so... keep us up to date! Also, consider that paxil + ritalin + ativan may be doing something that ritalin alone won't do. And make sure you let your pdoc know what you are doing. If you don't like the one you have, change to one who understands.

That's wonderful news. I hope that the Ritalin continues to provide good results. Please keep us posted.I am wondering if what you are feeling is a return to normality, or the euphoric grandiousity of an amphetamine high. I doubt that such a small dose of methylphenidate could give you such a high, so I suspect that what you're feeling is your brain chemistry returning to a healthy zone for that short period of time. Either way, it sounds like it is a welcome gift!
It's sad that these drugs aren't used more often - the DEA is preventing a lot of legal, therapeutic use out of fear of misuse. :(

Hey buddy,
While taking Paxil, did you happen to notice any brain surges, ie electricity flowing through your head. I have even experienced what my doctor thought was a partial seizure, in which while I was speaking, I blurted out some incoherent noise that I was fully aware of but unable to prevent. Maybe I should take ritalin to give me a boost of energy and stabilize my mind.

Adamie,Have you tried the MAO inhibitor Parnate?
This antidepressant probably has the strongest
dopaminergic effects. It is useful for anergic
depression and it can also treat ADD like Ritalin.
May cause some insomnia.John

and do talk to your pdoc. i've also heard that some are anti-stim, but that hasn't seemed to be the case on here from my perusing.
Concerta is the extend release form if you find you'd rather try that later. It has helped me.
