A couple thoughts about savin' up those meds.... ummm... I'm not so sure that is such a swift idea... but, I'm sure ya know that... ;O)
Do you want that URL ? The thought is that maybe ya can print it out.. and show it to yer doc... It is about 11 pages long, and the last couple pages are bibiolos of clinical studies on the psychiatric uses of Neurontin... You know, dates, docs names.. Study names... So a couple pages worth are more than one study !! LOLOL!
If the stuff is helping at all... but you're on such a low dose... I can't honestly see why increasing the dose to a "standard" level would hurt anything !
Ahem... unless yer like me... essentially unipolar hypo/manic... LOLOLOL!!! I'd rather have "the energy" and deal with the depression, than medicate it ALL away ! Been this way for decades... compared to medicated life.. I much prefer "the energy" ! LOLOL!
Heehehe... but.. I did have good "training" in dealing with "altered realities" before getting involved with the psych biz... Don't even need drugs, neither... The joys of being "BP 1.. ".. need I say more ? ;O)

Hello guess I 've got insomnia..Yes ok better I have the URL -just incase . I have the
%Ivan Goldberg% one...but my doc just waved it away like it was some foul rodent I was giving him.
I have no clue anymore what to do/take..I'm ok at the moment (i think) : )

Well... I guess we're on the same page with that Goldberg site... It IS the best one that I've found... and I do a LOT of research on this psych stuff... LOLOL! For better of worse ! LOL!

I have to laugh.. because I remember sitting in the waiting room of the clinic I went to for "treatment ( LOL! Sorta like a car going in for rust preventative "treatment, eh ? LOL! ).. and a Depakote sales rep walked in. I couldn't help myself... I walked up, and engaged the poor thing in conversation.. ( She never knew what was going her way ! LOL! ).. I told her what a bad reaction I had to the stuff... so she asked me what I was on now.. I replied "Neurontin".. and she flips out " Do you know studies have shown that it isn't an effective treatment for Bipolar? ".. To which I said " Have you seen all the clinical, double blind studies saying Depakote is no more effective than placebo? " LOLOL!! I was ROTFLMAO inside, watching her reactions... almost giggling like a school kid... She sputtered a bit.. and said how concerned she was. I responded that *I* was concerned for all my fellow loons that were being put on a drug (Depakote) that had such serious problems with depression and creating serious apathy... and that I had seen BP1s that were doing very well on Neurontin.. something that got me to try it... I can still see the look on her face... LOLOL!Anyways... joking aside... why won't your doc listen to you ? Might it be time to look for another ?
(And.. where are you that this time equates to "insomnia" ?? If I may be so bold as to ask... ya don't hafta tell me.. I'm just curious... UK ? )

Sorry I didn't have a different resource for ya... but now the burden is on your doc... I may support "minimum meds" approaches... but the meds should be at *LEAST* doin' something beneficial for ya when ya take 'em ! Keep this up, and I'll be sending ya mine ! LOLOL!

Oooookay... Well.. now I understand... You poor thing! Victim of UKs' wonderful "mental health system"... where choices and options abound, and you're lucky if your doc can understand WHAT you say... much less find your file!! LOLOL!
All calm now... LMAO... Yeah... I think I'd bank more on those Ativans, myself !
I've meet a number of folks that have had to battle the UK health system... I wish I could report some success stories... but... well, I don't have to tell you ! You have my sympathies..
SOOO... we'll have to rely on S*P*A*R*K*L*E* therapy for you ! ;O)
