Kramer- Why are there so many anti-BZD websites?

Are there so many? What is their motivation? Political? Moralistic? Why aren't there an eqivalent or greater amount of sites to counter these strident minority groups that would be run by professionals to counteract their spewing of harm?

And not just the anti-med sites...the hatred and bias exclusively reserved for these anti-BENZO sites... scaring patients all out of proportion either considering or already on these safe medications with bogus claims such as "protracted" or "permanent" withdrawl syndrome 10X's worse than the original anxiety?

Are there two or three reasons that you could prioritize for us as to why you think these groups exist other than just plain meanness - or evangalising based on purely misunderstood personal experiences, misdiagnosis, poor management, etc?

Many thanks for your insights about this very troubling phenomenon.

Thanks, Dr. Bob, for bringing Dr. Kramer to Psycho-Bable.

I hope he enjoyed his time here - although I suspect that it was a bit more *intense* than had been anticipated!
