I'm on 40mg of Paxil and 1mg of Xanax per day. The paxil has pooped out - and my pdoc has augmented it with Tegretol. I was on 200mg a day and had no problem with the side effects. After a blood test the pdoc put me onto 300mg of tegretol and after about 2 weeks the side effects were intolerable. I had constant headaches, nausea bordering on vomiting and stomach cramps. I stopped taking the tegretol (because I was on holiday) for about 3 days and felt fine. Has anyone else had this experience with tegretol? From my understanding it's not a huge dose - maybe I should titrate more slowly?
Any advice appreciated
Jackie

> JackieJackie, You are probably just hypersensitive to it. Trileptal made me very nauesous, but I didn't get any stomach cramping. You might flip to it and see what happens. You are trying this all for panic disorder-is that right? I remember you posting something about it earlier.

Thanks, will see if it is available in NZ - and yes it is for panic disorder. You have a very good memory!
