Reboxetine trial for low mood/anergy/aphatie: exp?

Posted by Davex on March 5, 2002, at 13:59:19

Hi to everybody,
I suffer of Distymie, low mood, anergy, and aphatie; after a trial on Amisulpride with low results and a mild enhance of the mood, my pdoc switched me to Reboxetine to increase principally low mood.
Using other serotoninergic AD (SSRI) i suffered of dizzyness, drowsiness and icrease of the low energy, so doc prescribed me Reboxetine assuring me that it was not sedative at all.
Now i'm beginnig the trial on Rebox and i will keep you informed about right effetcs and side effects that will appear.
Do you have any counsels or experience about rebox to share or warning in it use?
Could Rebox, in your experience, enhance mood and desires of doing, acting and energy?
Which are the principals side effects during its usage?
Thanks wery much indeed for your help, i'll keep you posted about the trial!

Hi,

Hope the switch to the Rebox goes well.

I'm starting to believe in the camp of keeping
potential benign side effects secret to avoid psychosomatic
responses, but if you dig through past posts
you may see the trends on Rebox. (aren't I
helpful).

I personally do better on meds when I just think
positively on getting the response I want (in your case curing
apathy, etc) rather than thinking to much about side
effects. The side effects usually subside and in
some cases can be helped with adjunctive meds.

best of luck. keep us posted.

REBOXETINE: none could report a success?

Hi to all,
I've read tons of bad things about Rebox, and very few report of right effects on it.
Is it ineffective at all?
I think in this way:
most part of the people writing on the board are anxious, and in this case an activating med like rebox could only worse theyr anxiety state.
Irritation, nervousness, agitation, insomnia are common side effect of this med. Pharaps it could be used by people with aphatic dep, anergy, low mood....
I'ld be very interested in success obtained by this med and in the experience about it....or we must throw it in the garbage can at all?
Thanks for your share.
