I have been a depressed person most of my life.
After many, many trials, I started Wellbutrin 2 1/2 years ago. I added Celexa a year ago because of situational lows. I now take 200mg WB/20mg Celexa am, 200mg WB pm. I am energetic, upbeat and functioning without faking!!!
But I do have these stupid anxiety problems out of nowhere. (Good husband, normal teenagers, Great job, great everything really)
My pdoc suggested Neurontin 3xday = 900mg a day...
says should help with sleep and anxiety 'attacks'
Any input???

Give it a shot! I liked Neurontin. If you want to go a different route you could
look into a Serzone add (not sure of med interactions)
on or another AD but you may face the
possibility of more complications.good luck,
john

I took WB with Wellbutrin to help get rid of irritability after stopping Remeron/WB combo. Neurontin helped some. It is a pretty innocuous drug. No side effects to speak of. It's worth a try. I also tried Celexa (again with WB), but only after stopping the Neurontin. Celexa made me tired all of the time. I now take WB and Serzone and find this combo the most helpful of the dozen or so I have tried.
Good luck.

Good day, Merritt,
Know full-well that the Neurontin, like anything else in psychiatry, may take 4-6 weeks for maximum clinical effect. But results can be dramatically good, if one is willing to make the small sacrifice of 3-times-daily dosage scheduling.
Here's hoping that your results will be dramatic
too,---------TSA West: Self-Denial in Progress------

Thanks for the input. I never tried AD until about 6 years ago. But I tried Prozac, Paxil,Serzone, Remeron, Zoloft, Desiprimine, Effexor, and 3 or 4 more I can't remember right now! Lots of Job Stress then, but after starting this combo I have a completely different view of the world. All those years of therapy finally made sense. Now a different great job, and I am not even crying over the teenage years of my 4 boys. I still have the anxiety and sleep erratically, but not a huge problem.I hope everyone will keep trying if one doesn't work. It is so worth it!
