Neurontin rash?

Posted by tortoise on January 30, 2002, at 20:10:56

Hi!

I have recently added Neurontin to Prozac for added anxiety and SP help. I'm up to 800 mg a day. 2 days ago, I noticed a rash around one ankle and calf. It now seems to be travelling up the one leg. I didn't associate it with the Neurontin initially, but now I am wondering. If it were an allergic reaction, wouldn't it be all over rather than spreading up one leg? I'm really hoping that it is *not* the Neurontin, because it is the first thing that has worked well since Paxil...

allergic reactions from medications can start off localized like you describe, and appear anywhere from hours to weeks after taking the medication... I broke out in hives (starting on my left arm) one week after taking wellbutrin sr...

when in doubt, go to your Dr.
