Hi -
I've been on Seroquel (5o mg at bedtime only) for about 4 weeks now and find that it's been great for sleep. I have been diagnosed with Bipolar II. I also take Depakote (500 mg er) and Wellbutrin. Has anyone used Seroquel by itself as a mood stabilizer? What about weight gain? I tried Geodon for about three weeks but did not like it because I couldn't sleep at night. I was also worried about the possibility of a heart arthymia. However, I understand it has a much better profile than Seroquel for fewer side affects overall.
Okay - thanks so much.

Seroquel is effective in treatment-resistant
mania, according to case-reports and
post-marketing experience. I hope it is very
effective for you, considering how it has a
benign side-effect profile and no weight gain.Source: The American Journal of Psychiatry
