hi, i started on paxil 2 weeks ago for GAD. i began at 20mg and after 1 week increased to 40mg. i am definetly experiencing insomnia and jaw clenching which i'm finding out are common side effect.
the other major side effect i've had is lack of appetite - which i'm pretty sure has helped me lose a few pounds. this seems to contradict what everyone else is saying regarding paxil and weight gain. has anyone else lost weight? should i worry that i might begin to gain?
thanks!

If you're getting lack of appeitite, don't jinx yourself by saying it could reverse itself. Hee hee.
For the insomnia you may choose to procure an over-the-counter sedative like diphenhydramine (Benadryl, the most popular) or doxylamine succinate (nytol). Or ask your doctor for further information of course.
I've heard of buspirone for jaw clenching or bruxism: http://www.dr-bob.org/tips/split/Bruxism-from-SSRIs-and-sti.html
