Comming off Effexor not as bad as i thought

Posted by Poppy on January 6, 2002, at 21:01:14

Hi I just wanted to let people know of my present experience of getting off effecor. Im just off from 425mg after two years, decreasing 75mg a day till nil. I thought this was a very quick reduction but thouhgt Id try it anyway. I have experineced some headaches, but not the swooshing in my head like I would when I took a dose too late. One night I was more worse for wear but in all the experience was as bad as I had expected, I have been feeling angry depressed ect but It knew my depression would increase though the medication change.
I dont doubt the change would have been hell for others, When I missed a dose I would feel crazy, adn terriably ill, but I think I was lucky comming off wasnt as bad as i had assumed it would be.
goodluck everyone

If the withdrawal symptoms get too bad consider Benadryl (diphenhydramine). Its over-the-counter and cheap in generic.

Good luck to you,
